Dallas, Texas, is home to the founding chapter of Fellow. In October 2024, 12 guys got together in the club room of an apartment complex to have our very first gathering....a conversation series lovingly known as Talk-O-Tuesday! Each week, men came from all over the metroplex to connect, fellowship, and discuss diverse topics related to anything, from money, sex, and religion, to relationships, family dynamics, and personal goals. This was where all the magic started... quickly giving rise to a flourishing community for queer men of color.
In any given month, the men of fellow can be found getting together (without pretense or partiality) to hike, serve in the community, enjoy new dining experiences, or even take a trip to the farmer's market or museum. This community is home to men of diverse backgrounds, where our humanity serves as an "all access" pass to belonging. Fellow celebrates all the ways we show up, express and present ourselves....whether you are 19 or 91, whether you make six figures or are still trying to "figure it out," ...have your doctorate or just a GED, built like a greek God or Santa Claus.... Fellow welcomes those seeking a safe and supportive space, with open arms.
Our motto is "Once a Stranger, Always a Fellow!"
Do you live in or near the DFW metroplex? Have you been looking to make new connections and build a stronger friend circle? Are you looking for more things to do to get out of the house? Take this as your sign that it's time to get out of your comfort zone, and take one bold and courageous step to get plugged in to community!

After a successful launch in Dallas, Fellow set its sights on bringing this much needed community to another U.S. city. At a time when there was much political tension and uncertainty in our country, it was decided that starting a chapter in our nation's capital would make a powerful statement, especially given the impact that various policies and political agendas were having on queer communities.
Warned that queer men of color in DC might not be as receptive to Fellow because it wasn't yet well known, (some even suggested that it wasn't "serious" enough) Fellow forged ahead, believing that those with whom it was meant to resonate with, would find us. Launching the chapter with our signature Talk-O-Tuesday in March 2025, Fellow was warmly received and has seen continued growth in engagement, activations, and network! Fellow DMV continues to prove that irrespective of social, economic, and educational disparities, we are all deserving of real community. While we celebrate those who have worked hard to earn titles and credentials, here, being a fellow grants you all rights, privileges, and access.
The DMV Fellows are building something really special in our nation's capital. Even in our current political climate, we are creating space for queer men of color to not only feel safe, but also to feel seen, heard, and valued. We are prioritizing your personhood over performance. We want to know who you are, not what you "do."
THIS way to get plugged in to community!

We're diligently working to bring more of Fellow to you, both virutally AND in-person!
Let us know where you live and be sure to join our email list to stay connected.
Who knows...maybe the next "Talk-O-Tuesday Event Pop-Up or Fellow Chapter, may be coming to your city!
